1914-1918: First World War


In October 1918, when it can no doubt Germany would be defeated in the First World War, made a decisive change in the constitution and that makes the Reich chancellor of the trust depends on the Reichstag. Strengthening the position of parliament that aims to influence the Western democratic countries that will become the winner to agree with a soft peace, and prevent revolution from below. Both goals are not achieved. Revolution from below broke out in November 1918, because the reforms decided in October to stay on paper only.
